Speyer Technology Museum
The Speyer Technology Museum displays a variety of masterpieces of technology to be found nowhere else.
Apart from large collection of aircraft, classic cars, locomotives and fire engines, some of the highlights are an original BURAN space shuttle, the largest space flight exhibition in Europe, a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet, the submarine U9, a former German Navy submarine and a gigantic Russian Antonov AN-22 cargo plane.
Visting the museum is not an official part of the conference program; you should plan about two hours for your individual visit to the museum. Admission to the Technology Museum is included in the EuroSPF Conference fee.
EuroSPF Conference takes place at the Conference Center (Tagungszentrum) of the museum. Click here for a map of the Technology Museum. Tagungszentrum is building number 14.
Speyer
Founded by the Romans, Speyer is one of Germany's oldest cities. Speyer is dominated by the Speyer Cathedral, a number of churches and the Altpoertel (old gate). Other sights are: Historical town hall, St. Magdalena Convent, Alte Münze (Old Mint building), fish market and the impressive Jewish legacy.
